For the 2026-2027 school year, we will be offering our first high school program at our St. John’s Burry’s Church campus. This will be for students ready to begin high school learning and tracking credits with transcripts. There is no age requirement to enter our high school program, but students must complete an 8th grade state test and score at least 8th grade or higher in all areas if younger than 14. At Roots Learning Academy, we believe high school should be about exploring interests and careers to prepare for your future. We strive to give every student an opportunity to focus on their strengths and learn real-life skills.
Starting in 7th & 8th grades, we begin to find the strengths of each student. In 9th grade, they will choose a path and a focus within that path. We will then help create a personalized education plan and goals for their entire high school career with us, designed to set students up for success after graduation.
Together we will put together a career focus for your student. They will explore what the steps are to finding a job in a certain area, complete career studies to ensure that is something they are truly interested in, and take part in real business internships to fully understand what the career entails.

For students with strong reading, vocabulary, and language skills
For students with a strong interest in the sciences or medical field
For students with a strong interest in history, politics, economics, and current events
For students with a strong entrepreneurial spirit who plan to own, run, or help run a business
