Curriculum

We will be using The Good and The Beautiful math curriculum.  The pages are colorful and informative, have a review section at the end of each lesson, and are split into only 120 total lessons.

Elements of All About Reading will be incorporated into K-3rd Grades.  K-1 will do the full curriculum, while 2-3 will only be working through the reading books.  This top rated phonics curriculum has children reading stories from day one and only 25-30 lessons per year.

We will be using The Good and The Beautiful writing handbooks for all ages, which introduce handwriting through 100 fun and colorful pages.  Cursive writing starts at the 3rd Grade level, but students may start it in 2nd Grade if ready.

Students in these grades will work through Mosdos reading and language arts textbooks and workbooks.  These books incorporate age appropriate stories, comprehension, poetry, vocabulary, and writing.

Beginning in First Grade, students will go through All About Spelling curriculum.  With basic spelling rules and a colorful workbook, students will learn how to spell in a way that sticks.

Students will focus on different unit studies together through the Good & Beautiful science textbooks.  This Christian curriculum introduces science in an interesting, hand-on way, including experiments and activities.

Students will focus on different unit studies together through the Apologia science textbooks and workbooks.  This Christian curriculum introduces science in an interesting, hand-on way, including experiments and activities.

Students will focus on different unit studies together through the Friendly Sciences serious (Physical Science, Biology, and Chemistry).  The textbooks and workbooks introduce these complex topics in an understandable way with hands on experiments and labs.

We will be working through My Story workbooks with K-2.  This Christian curriculum goes through many elements of social studies and includes some foreign language studies and Bible lessons. 2-5 will also do history projects, where they will choose a topic of history to study each session.

Each session, students will work through unit studies from Expedition Earth.  This Christian curriculum will take students through many different countries, through activities, crafts, and fun facts.  Students will also more about American geography through U.S. workbooks.

Students will focus on both US and World Geography through games, worksheets, and activities.  Students will learn and memorize the 50 stages and different facts about the different regions of our country.
