A co-op is typically defined as a group of homeschooling parents working together to further their child’s education. At Roots, we have teachers, parents, and local professionals teaching extracurricular classes that all homeschooled children can join.
Students do not have to be enrolled in the hybrid school to join our co-op classes. Co-op classes are for students of all ages, but each has a recommended age group. We have classes each session for age groups ranging from Preschoolers through High Schoolers.
Classes take place each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoon from 12:45-4:00pm. Each class will run one day a week for one 10-week session. We offer a fall, winter, and spring session each year.
Our campus allows us to have enough space for the whole family to join us! Siblings not joining any classes can come to hang out in our outdoor areas or play inside while classes are running. Parents are welcome to volunteer to assist in a class, hang out on campus, or drop off.
Class prices are kept low for all families to be able to financially afford to join us, but they do not reflect the true costs of the classes. We ask each family plan to fundraise at least $100/year to help cover our costs. If this is not possible, we ask that parents assist in a class so we don’t have to pay an extra teacher.
